This hike starts near the Sandy River glacial floodplain, which is a sandy, rocky, desolate area. It soon changes, however, and begins to look more like typical forests in the Mount Hood area.

The Salmon River Canyon Trail is the middle section of the Salmon River Trail at the base of Hunchback Mountain, which is along (you guessed it) the Salmon River.

The Wilson River Trail runs along the Wilson River for over 9 miles. We started at the Tillamook Forestry Center and went to Wilson Falls.
