Wahtum Lake backpacking

Wahtum Lake is located west of Hood River, between Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge. There are many trails that cross through this area, including Eagle Creek, Herman Creek and the PCT.

Wahkeena Creek hike

Starting at the Wahkeena Falls trailhead, we hiked up to the source of Wahkeena Creek, a spring that comes up out of the ground and then cascades down the hillside as a creek.

Triple Falls

The trail to Triple Falls sustained significant damage in the fall of 2014 and was closed until a few weeks ago. This has long been one of my favorite places in Oregon, with four waterfalls, moss-covered trees and rocks, and two beautiful creeks.
