We had intended to hike Gales Creek and ended up on the Low Divide Trail instead. It was raining slightly off and on… I think that the forest is pretty when it’s wet out. The ferns are especially nice. We saw two beaver dams towards the end of the trail… but no beavers. When we finished hiking, we found the trail we were supposed to be on… only two cars down from ours! We walked over to the campground and Gales Creek and spent a little time walking beside the creek. We plan on hiking the trail sometime in the fall and maybe staying at the campground… there are a couple of nice spots overlooking the creek.
